Conjure Oils

What Are Conjure Oils?

August 12, 2026 · 6 min read

A conjure oil is a ritual oil blended for a single purpose. It is dressed — herbs, roots, curios and intention worked into a carrier — and then used to anoint a candle, a petition, an object or the body.

The oil is not the working. The oil is the instrument. What makes it move is the clarity of the person holding the bottle.

What actually goes into a conjure oil

Every blend begins with an intention narrow enough to say in one sentence. From there the materials are chosen to match: herbs and roots traditionally associated with that intention, and a carrier that will hold them without going rancid.

Oils made in small batches behave differently from mass production. The maker can keep the intention present through the whole process rather than filling a thousand bottles at once.

  • A clearly named intention
  • Herbs, roots or curios traditionally tied to that intention
  • A stable carrier oil
  • Work done over the blend while it is made

How to use a conjure oil

There are three uses that cover almost everything. Dress a candle: draw the oil along the wax, wick-to-base to bring something toward you, base-to-wick to move something away. Dress a petition: write what you want in plain language and place a drop at the corners. Anoint yourself: pulse points, the breastbone, the back of the neck.

Say what you want while you do it. Out loud, in ordinary words. Vagueness is the most common reason a working goes nowhere.

How often, and for how long

Most people over-use oils and under-use patience. Anoint before the moment that matters rather than every hour. Give a working a fair window — days, sometimes weeks — and keep the practical channels open while you wait. A road-opening working still needs you to send the application.

Choosing the right oil for a situation

Match the oil to the specific outcome, not the mood. If a room has stopped listening to you, that is authority work. If you come home heavy every night, that is cleansing work. If you need one particular outcome to land, that is victory work.

When a situation has more than one moving part — money and reputation, cleansing and coverage — a private conjure ritual is usually the better fit than a single bottle.

Frequently asked

Are conjure oils safe on skin?
Our oils are for external use only. Test a small area first, avoid broken skin and the eyes, and keep them away from children and pets.
How long does a bottle last?
A .5 oz / 15 ml bottle covers many workings, since a single working needs only a few drops. Store it cool, dark and closed.
Do I need candles to use a conjure oil?
No. Candles are traditional and convenient, but anointing yourself or a written petition is a complete way to work an oil.
